Emma died when a tree fell on her car on May 23rd 2011 aged just 18.  Her family and friends felt the need to do something positive so we decided to create a permanent grant-making fund to help remember Emma.

The aim of the fund is to support young people in the Performing Arts.

On this site you can read more about Emma’s fund, get involved with fund-raising, or if you just wish to make a donation now please click here.

Please take a few minutes to watch the videos, read about Emma and most importantly get involved.  Our initial goal was to raise £25,000, which we have now achieved. The fund currently stands at almost £100,000 – so every penny counts.

The Emma Newton fund is managed by The Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.
